1. Introduction

Welcome to dekn. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before making a purchase.

Throughout these Terms, "we", "our" and "us" refer to dekn.

2. Products

We aim to ensure that all product descriptions, dimensions, photographs and prices are accurate.

Because timber is a natural material:

  • Grain, colour and knots will vary.
  • Slight dimensional tolerances may occur.
  • Product images are for illustration purposes only.

Natural variations are not considered defects.

3. Made to Order Products

Many of our products are manufactured or prepared specifically for each customer.

Once production has started, orders cannot normally be cancelled or amended.

This does not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty or not as described.

4. Pricing

All prices are shown in GBP (£).

Prices include VAT where applicable.

Delivery charges are shown separately or selected during the ordering process where appropriate.

We reserve the right to change prices at any time before an order is placed.

5. Ordering

Placing an order does not constitute acceptance.

Your order is accepted only when we confirm it by email.

If we are unable to fulfil your order, any payment received will be refunded in full.

6. Delivery

We offer several delivery options depending on the product purchased.

For larger products such as pergolas, decking systems and other bulky items, customers may see the option to Contact Factory for Delivery.

This allows us to:

  • combine multiple products onto a single pallet where possible
  • provide the most suitable delivery method
  • reduce delivery costs
  • discuss vehicle access or unloading requirements
  • arrange specialist delivery where required

In some cases, delivery charges are not displayed because the final cost depends on the combination of products ordered.

Delivery times are estimates and are not guaranteed.

We are not responsible for delays caused by carriers, weather, traffic, customs or other circumstances outside our control.

7. Collection

Where collection is available, customers will be contacted when their order is ready.

Collection dates and times must be agreed in advance.

8. Inspection of Goods

Please inspect your goods upon delivery.

Any damage or shortages should be reported within 48 hours together with photographs where possible.

9. Returns

Returns are governed by our Refund Policy.

Because many of our products are made to order or customised, they may not be eligible for return unless faulty or incorrectly supplied.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

10. Timber

Timber is a natural product.

Over time it may:

  • expand and contract
  • develop small surface cracks
  • weather naturally
  • change colour
  • contain knots and grain variation

These characteristics are normal and are not considered manufacturing defects.

11. Product Care

We recommend treating and maintaining timber products using appropriate exterior wood treatments.

Failure to maintain timber correctly may reduce its lifespan and affect its appearance.

12. Website Information

We make every effort to ensure all information is accurate.

However, we cannot guarantee that every description, photograph or specification is completely free from errors.

We reserve the right to correct errors without notice.

13. Intellectual Property

All images, graphics, product designs, logos and website content remain the property of dekn unless otherwise stated.

They may not be copied, reproduced or used without written permission.

14. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to this, our liability is limited to the value of the products purchased.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of our products.

15. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

16. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
